Three Peaks...

...Two People...

logo

...One Purpose

The ‘3 peaks challenge’ has been around for many years. The traditional challenge is to climb the highest peaks in each of the countries on the mainland of Britain within 24 hours, travelling in between by vehicle.
The highest peaks in England (Scafell Pike - 978m), Scotland (Ben Nevis - 1344m) and Wales (Snowdon - 1085m) pose a great challenge for anyone wishing to climb them in succession.

Two riders, one from Dorset Police and one from Dorset Fire and Rescue Service, with the help of a back-up vehicle, are attempting to make their way between the peaks
on bicycles and conquer each one within the space of one week - a distance in excess of 500 miles and around 3,500ft of mountain climbed in seven consecutive days.

We are raising money for ‘PROJECT WOODPECKER’.

Project Woodpecker aims to raise £1.5million for the redevelopment of Woodlarks, a disabled campsite in Farnham, Surrey.
Woodlarks caters for all disabled persons and has been in existence for over 70 years. At the moment the facilities are very dated and redevelopment is needed to bring it into the 21st century and allow future campers and carers to enjoy this wonderful site for a further 70 years and beyond.

No one is paid to run the campsite. It depends entirely on the generosity of volunteers giving up their time. All the money raised will go straight to the redevelopment fund.

For further information about PROJECT WOODPECKER, or if you wish to make a donation, go to www.woodlarks.org.uk.

Anyone who knows me will know that I am built for comfort, not speed and this will not be an easy challenge. Please give generously!!

Thankyou for your support.
