How to be a Helper

Trekkers is supported entirely by volunteers. If you come along as a helper, you will give your time and commitment to assist and care for the camp’s disabled participants. It is hard work and possibly the most rewarding, enjoyable thing you will do this year!

Camp fees for 2011 are only £120.00 for the week.

You do not need to be a qualified carers, as training is provided and many regulars have had several years experience of helping on similar camps. There is always someone nearby to show new recruits the ropes.

We are always looking for new volunteers so if you and/or your friends, family or colleagues are interested PLEASE GET IN TOUCH.

To be a helper you will need to do the following:

Download and complete the application form.
Post or email the form to Trekkers.
Send your camp fees to Trekkers.
Make sure you read the "What to Bring With You" page
If you are under 18, please complete the swimming consent form.

IMPORTANT

If you intend coming to camp as a helper, PLEASE PLEASE get in touch and let us know as soon as possible.

We can only accept campers (disabled participants) once we are certain we have enough helpers to look after them. If no one lets us know until a couple of weeks before, there will be no camp!

Please also ensure that you forward your camp fees as soon as possible. Many of the activities, catering and equipment need to be booked and paid for in advance.
